Step Into The Futuristic Roaring 20's

Anyone that knows me knows my love for Los Angeles. I love the endless delicious (and aesthetically pleasing) restaurants, colorful walls, gorgeous buildings, and fast paced life. There is so much to eat and do in Los Angeles it is crazy. That is why when on the Hotel Indigo offered me a complimentary night stay; I knew I could not say no. I am happy to report that I have no regrets about my decision.

The Hotel Indigo is one of the most luxurious hotels that I have ever stayed in. I was in awe of the creativity of the architecture, the details, and how they intertwined the history of the area with the hotel’s character. For example, they have a divine event space area that has diamonds hanging from the ceiling. These diamonds represent the area of the hotel, which is the jewelry district. The entire theme of the hotel is the roaring 20’s, but with a modern day twists. From the lobby to the fitness center, no detail goes overlooked. I noticed this before I got into my room!

My room was a corner room on the 18th floor, room 1818. The only phrase to describe my room is “oh la, la.” I truly felt like the master of the universe sleeping in my room. Literally, half the room is windows, which means you have an AMAZING view of DTLA during the day and night. The beds are super comfy. You would just lay down and sink into the soft bed. Staying at the Hotel Indigo truly felt like I was living the good life.

After a late night visit to the Griffith Observatory, I had a deep sleep. The next morning, I headed for breakfast. You can either order from the a la carte menu or purchase the buffet. As a vegan, I piled up on the fresh fruit and steaming hot potatoes. Somehow, the restaurant honored the past, but also had a futuristic feel to it. Such an unique LA vibe.

After breakfast, I decided to go for a quick dip in the pool right before check out. The water was kept
at room temperature, which was appreciated since I went in the early morning and it was still a little
nippy out. The pool area is medium sized, but a big enough size to still be intimate. The fitness area is also fantastic. The treadmill has an option to watch Netflix, Hulu, and more. Now, you can Netflix and workout! They have a good amount of weights and a bench press. There is enough room for several people to get a good work out. Plus, the gym and hotel have a view of the city.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Indigo. It is a great place to get away from the city or to be completely immersed in the LA culture. It is really up to you how you decide to utilize your time at Hotel Indigo.

  1. I love that the treadmills there have the option of watching NetFlix and Hulu while exercising on them and that the room and hotel have views of the city. I love the look of the pool and love the floor to ceiling glass with a view beside the couch you are sitting on on that last photo. I also love the looks of the black swimsuit you wore at the pool and the silky red outfit you were wearing in the last photo. The Hotel Indigo looks like a fab place to stay.
